‘From new foundland to the rookies..’
Charley Boorman, adventurer, motorbike enthusiast and number-one bestselling author is back with an incredible new challenge. Having ridden with his partner in crime Ewan McGregor all the way round the world in Long Way Round and on an extraordinary trip through Africa in Long Way Down, he is now taking on Canada’s amazingly wild and diverse terrain.
Embarking on a 10,300 mile journey, Charley traverses all ten Canadian provinces from East to West. Along the way he tries his hand at an array of extreme sports and Canadian traditions, from canoeing to rodeo, heli-mountain biking to ice hockey – and scales the massive 8,000 metre Mount Fable.
Hunting for icebergs off the coast of Newfoundland, learning how the indigenous Tuk community survive in the harsh conditions of the Arctic Circle, training to be a cowboy in Alberta, and panning for gold in the Rockies, Charley concludes his adventures in the company of a huge biker convoy, travelling across Vancouver Island into Torfino on the Pacific Ocean. Summoning up all his resolve on the steep ascent of Mount Fable and battling with his claustrophobia while wreck-diving in Lake Huron, Charley pushes himself to the very limits as he throws himself headlong into all this extraordinary landscape has to offer.
